Hello, your Fairy God-Librarian here, and this is the first time I’ve done an update on an earlier post. Basically, that means that I wrote the post, found some more information, decided it was also relevant. Whoops.
A few days after I created the post referring to the movie Inception, but for books about books (and art and writing), I paid another visit to Barnes and Nobles to use a second gift card gifted to my bibliophilic and pathetic self. I came out with five books, four of which were fiction books centered around a book or library. So, may I politely re-introduce the shrine to Christopher Nolan and a loaded bookcase, a list about books on books—parte dos.

Summer Hours at the Robbers Library by Sue Halpern (Fiction)
-
All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness—1) A Discovery of Witches 2) Shadow of Night 3) The Book of Life (Fiction)
I just want to say, Deborah Harkness is one of my spirit animals because she apparently has the life I want. To some degree, of course. I’m basing my statement on the paragraph of information provided about her on the inside cover of her books. She’s a professor of history (I’d also would love to do either literature or library science); she’s received incredible awards like the Fulbright, Guggenheim (the museum!), and National Humanities Center fellowships; and she’s a wine aficionada who has an award-winning wine blog. On top of her incredible books (fiction and non-fiction), just throw in: a hot Latin husband, investments in animal sanctuaries and museums, an ownership of a local coffee and book shop, and trilingual skills in English, Spanish, and Sign Language and she has my dream life exactly.
But I digress. On top of the 30 books I recommended before, make sure to catch up on the extra four provided above. If you love books, art, and writing, my list will not disappoint. Enjoy!
Love,
Lacie 🙂
